CARD TYPE · PACKAGE CARD

The digital package card: prepaid visits in the wallet.

Ten coffees, five massages, twenty entries: your guests pay once, upfront, at your place, and the card in their wallet counts down. Payment happens at your counter, not with tapja, and your team books every use.

How it works

How the Package card works.

1

Create the package

Set quantity, price and validity, for example 10 coffees for €32. Templates for 10-visit cards, treatments, entries, classes and day passes are included.

2

Sell it at the counter

Your guest pays you as usual, in cash or at your card terminal. Your team confirms the payment, and only then do the units appear on the card.

3

See it in the wallet

The card shows how many units are left and how long they are valid.

4

Redeem one at a time

On the next visit your team scans the card and books one unit, with PIN and log.

5

A heads-up in time

When it runs low, the card shows “Only 2 of 10 left”. Buying another package happens at the counter, on the same card.

What your Package card could look like.

10 coffees for €32 instead of €38.

Your guest pays once at the counter and has ten coffees on the card. Every visit books one, and the card shows what is left and how much they saved.

Benefits

Why the Package card works.

  1. Paid is paid

Someone who bought ten visits upfront has a good reason to come to you rather than the place next door.

  2. No money through tapja

You sell it yourself: cash, card terminal or invoice. tapja only counts what has been redeemed and processes no payment.

  3. Nothing is booked twice

Every use runs online, with PIN and log. Two simultaneous scans can never book more than the card holds.

Decision guide

Which card type fits your business?

All five run in the wallet with the same reliability. The choice depends on your receipt, how often guests come back, and whether you want to reward, sell upfront or manage members.

Common questions about the Package card.

Question not listed?
Write to us, a person will answer.

Can my guest pay with the package card?
No. The card holds prepaid units, such as ten coffees, not an amount of money. tapja keeps no stored value and no money flows through tapja: the package is sold at your counter and booked in your till.
What happens when a package expires?
You set the validity yourself: from purchase, from first use or with no expiry at all. Once it has passed, the remaining units of that package lapse. You can still book a refund in your account.
Does it work without internet at the counter?
No, on purpose. Because every unit is paid for, it is only booked with a connection, in the staff app as well. Stamps and points, on the other hand, the app also accepts offline.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
