tapja

tapja for barbershops

Your best customer comes every four weeks. Keep him.

In a barbershop the rhythm is short and the competition is two streets away. A stamp card in the wallet makes switching unattractive and reminds him of the next appointment, with no app for your guests.

Sound familiar?

From frustration to fix.

The shop two streets away is just as good.

A stamp balance you cannot take with you keeps customers here.

Paper cards sit creased in a wallet.

The card lives in the phone and always looks the part.

Four weeks quickly become eight.

A notice on the phone puts the appointment back in mind.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Design the card

Pick a card type, set your logo and colors, define the reward rule, for example "10 cuts, the 11th free.". The live preview shows instantly how the card looks in the wallet.

  2. Onboard customers

The customer scans the QR code at the counter and adds the card to their wallet with one tap. Done, no app for your guests.

  3. Collect & reward

One tap is all it takes: the balance updates automatically on the card, and when a reward is reached a wallet notification lands on the phone.

New in tapja

Four things that take work off your hands.

  • More Google reviews from Home Base

After a redeemed reward or a number of visits you choose, the card asks happy guests for a review and takes them straight to your Google profile.

  • Your logo as the stamp All plans

Instead of a tick, the card stamps your logo or a symbol from your trade: coffee bean, scissors, pretzel.

  • Guests refer guests All plans

Your regulars share a personal code. Once the new guest actually visits, both get a bonus. Switch it on when you want to.

  • Milestone rewards All plans

A free croissant after five stamps, the coffee after ten: up to five rewards on one card keep guests motivated along the way.

A day with tapja

How it feels in everyday life.

A customer comes in for a fade and scans the QR code at the counter while paying. The card is in his wallet seconds later, with no app of his own. Your team taps "stamp" in the staff app: 8 of 10. Four weeks later nothing is heard from him, and after six weeks a short greeting goes out automatically, and he books that same evening. On the tenth stamp the eleventh cut is on the house, redeemed right at the chair, and the card starts over.

Common questions about tapja for barbershops.

Question not listed?
Write to us, a person will answer.

How is this different from the hair salon page?
The rhythm. In a barbershop customers come every three to four weeks, in a salon often only every eight to twelve. That is why a stamp card with a reachable ten-stamp threshold fits here, while points and loyalty tiers work better in a salon. There is a separate page for that.
Does it work without a booking system?
Yes. tapja runs independently of your booking software. Stamping happens in the staff app on a phone you already own, or with no installation at all right in the browser at the counter.
Does each barber get their own login?
Yes, every person has their own account with a PIN. The activity log records time and name for every stamp, also useful if you want to see who builds the most regulars.
What if a customer does not have his phone with him?
Your team can add the stamp later, once the card is back. In practice it rarely happens: the phone is in hand at payment anyway.
What does this cost a small shop?
The free plan is free forever and covers up to 30 active cards, one programme and two staff accounts. Beyond that, Favourite Spot starts at €29 a month, cancellable monthly.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
