tapja

tapja for bike shops

The bike is sold. Now it is about the next five years.

You earn longer from servicing, accessories and repairs than from the bike itself. A card in the wallet brings customers back for maintenance, with no app for your guests.

Sound familiar?

From frustration to fix.

After the bike sale you hear nothing for years.

The card stays in the wallet and reminds them of the service.

Most people forget the spring service.

A notice in March lands right on the phone.

In winter the workshop stands still.

An offer with its own run time fills the slow months.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Design the card

Pick a card type, set your logo and colors, define the reward rule, for example "A point per euro in workshop and accessories, a free service at 150 points.". The live preview shows instantly how the card looks in the wallet.

  2. Onboard customers

The customer scans the QR code at the counter and adds the card to their wallet with one tap. Done, no app for your guests.

  3. Collect & reward

One tap is all it takes: the balance updates automatically on the card, and when a reward is reached a wallet notification lands on the phone.

Example program

What your bike shops & workshops program could look like.

A point per euro in workshop and accessories, a free service at 150 points.

A points card for the wallet that rewards workshop and accessories. Plus a winter offer for the quiet season.

A day with tapja

How it feels in everyday life.

A customer buys an e-bike and has a basket fitted straight away. At the till she scans the QR code and the card lands in the wallet, with no app of her own. In March you send "Time for your spring check" to everyone who has not been in the workshop for over six months. She books a slot she would otherwise have forgotten. In November you fill the quiet season with an offer on winter storage. At 150 points the service is free, redeemed right at the counter.

When does a stamp card start to pay off?

Common questions about tapja for bike shops & workshops.

Question not listed?
Write to us, a person will answer.

Points on the bike or only on workshop and accessories?
Usually only on workshop and accessories. Margins on bike sales are thin, and people buy a bike every few years; the repeat business happens in the workshop. What counts is up to you.
Can I use it to remind people about servicing?
Yes, through the win-back automation: anyone away longer than a period you set gets an automatic notice in the wallet. The automations belong to the larger plan.
Points per euro: is that on every plan?
No. One point per visit or purchase works everywhere; awarding by amount belongs to the larger plan (from Home Base). For a bike shop the difference usually pays, because an inner tube and an annual service are far apart.
Do I need to connect my workshop software?
No. tapja runs alongside it, on a phone or tablet you already own, or with no installation at all, right in the browser at the counter. Nothing changes in your workshop software.
What does this cost a small shop?
The free plan is free forever and covers up to 30 active cards. For points by amount and the automations you need Home Base at €59 a month, cancellable monthly.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
