Does it work during the morning rush?
Yes. Your team taps the stamp in the staff app and holds it next to the guest phone; that takes under two seconds. No hunting for a cardboard card, no pen, no argument about smudged stamps.
What if someone loses the card?
The card lives in Apple or Google Wallet and cannot be misplaced. If the phone is lost, the card is back on the new device after signing in, stamp count included.
Do I need a POS system for this?
No. tapja runs independently of your till: stamping happens in the staff app on a phone or tablet you already own. Nothing at the register has to be rebuilt or connected.
How do I stop people from stamping themselves?
When your team stamps, it only works from the staff app or the counter in the browser. Both are tied to a staff account with a PIN, and every stamp is recorded with time and person in the activity log. Self-stamping (from Favourite Spot) is only on if you switch it on, and then the NFC stand is the safe choice: every tap creates a one-time signed proof, a photo of the stand does not count.
What does it cost for a small café?
The Free plan stays free and covers up to 30 active cards, one program and two staff accounts. Once you outgrow that, Favourite Spot starts at €29 a month, cancellable monthly.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
