tapja for climbing gyms

Not everyone wants a contract. They still come back.

Between a day pass and an annual contract sits a gap: the people who come every other week. A card in the wallet rewards exactly those, with no app for your guests.

Sound familiar?

From frustration to fix.

Between day pass and contract there is nothing.

The points card rewards exactly the casual climbers.

Mornings the gym is empty, evenings everyone crowds in.

A morning offer shifts visits into the free hours.

After the course you lose the beginners again.

They get the card during the course and stay reachable.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Design the card

Pick a card type, set your logo and colors, define the reward rule, for example "A point per visit, the 10th entry free.". The live preview shows instantly how the card looks in the wallet.

  2. Onboard customers

The customer scans the QR code at the counter and adds the card to their wallet with one tap. Done, no app for your guests.

  3. Collect & reward

One tap is all it takes: the balance updates automatically on the card, and when a reward is reached a wallet notification lands on the phone.

Example program

What your bouldering & climbing gyms program could look like.

A point per visit, the 10th entry free.

A points card for the wallet for everyone without a contract. Plus a morning offer and a greeting for those who have been away.

A day with tapja

How it feels in everyday life.

A student climbs every other week and wants no contract. Paying for the day pass, he scans the QR code at reception and the card lands in the wallet, with no app of his own. Your team taps the point for the check-in in the staff app. In February the mornings are empty, so you send "Before 2pm: day pass 25% off" to everyone between 3 and 15 points. He has Tuesdays free and comes in. At the tenth point entry is free, redeemed right at reception, and the card starts over.

Common questions about tapja for bouldering & climbing gyms.

Question not listed?
Write to us, a person will answer.

Does the card compete with my contracts?
No, it closes the gap below them. Anyone climbing weekly takes a contract anyway. The card picks up the people who come every other week and for whom a contract never paid off; until now they were anonymous day passes to you.
Is this a digital multi-visit pass?
Yes, with the package card (from the Home Base plan): your guests buy ten entries upfront at your counter, for example, and the card in their wallet counts down with every visit. Payment happens at your place; tapja processes no money and keeps no stored value, only the units. Alongside it, the points card can count visits and unlock a reward at a threshold.
Can we keep course participants with it?
That is exactly what the last day of the course is for: hand out the card, first point on it. After that participants stay reachable instead of quietly disappearing once the course ends.
Who awards the point?
Whoever is on reception. Every person has their own account with a PIN in the staff app, and every point appears in the activity log with time and name. Nobody can award themselves points unnoticed.
Do my guests need an app?
No, your guests need no app. The card lives in Apple or Google Wallet, already installed on every smartphone. Your team works with the staff app, or with no installation at all right in the browser at reception.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
