tapja

tapja for wine shops

The supermarket is cheaper. You are the reason to come anyway.

People who buy from you come for the advice. A card in the wallet rewards exactly those customers and brings them back for the next tasting, with no app for your guests.

Sound familiar?

From frustration to fix.

The supermarket two doors down is cheaper.

A points balance and tastings are reasons the supermarket does not have.

Tastings stay half empty because nobody knows about them.

A notice lands right on your regulars lock screen.

Between Christmas and Easter it goes quiet.

An offer with its own run time fills the slow months.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Design the card

Pick a card type, set your logo and colors, define the reward rule, for example "A point per euro, a €10 voucher at 200 points.". The live preview shows instantly how the card looks in the wallet.

  2. Onboard customers

The customer scans the QR code at the counter and adds the card to their wallet with one tap. Done, no app for your guests.

  3. Collect & reward

One tap is all it takes: the balance updates automatically on the card, and when a reward is reached a wallet notification lands on the phone.

Example program

What your wine shops program could look like.

A point per euro, a €10 voucher at 200 points.

A points card for the wallet that reflects spend; with bottles between €6 and €60 that is the fairer rule. Plus invitations to tastings.

A day with tapja

How it feels in everyday life.

A customer buys three bottles for €48. At the till he scans the QR code, the card lands in the wallet with no app of his own, and your team books the points in the staff app. Three weeks later you plan a Rioja tasting and send the invitation to everyone above 100 points. The evening sells out for the first time. At 200 points the card pulls the €10 voucher, which your team redeems right at the till.

Common questions about tapja for wine shops.

Question not listed?
Write to us, a person will answer.

Points per euro or per bottle?
For wine almost always per euro, because a €6 and a €60 bottle are worlds apart. Awarding by amount belongs to the larger plan (from Home Base); one point per purchase works on every plan.
Can I use it to invite people to tastings?
Yes, and for wine shops that is the strongest lever. The notice goes out as a wallet update and lands on the lock screen, not in a newsletter folder nobody opens.
Are we allowed to run loyalty programmes with alcohol at all?
The card rewards your existing, adult customers at the till and addresses nobody else. How you shape your offers is your decision; the rules on alcohol advertising remain your responsibility, and tapja sets no content rules there.
Do I need a POS integration?
No. Your team awards the points in the staff app, or with no installation at all right in the browser at the till. You type in the amount; no interface to your POS is needed.
What if someone loses the card?
The card lives in Apple or Google Wallet and cannot be misplaced. If the phone is lost, it is back on the new device after signing in, points balance included.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
