tapja

tapja for zoos & wildlife parks

Everyone comes once a year. Almost nobody comes twice.

Zoos and wildlife parks live off families who visit in spring and then disappear. A card in the wallet brings them back in autumn, with no app for your guests.

Sound familiar?

From frustration to fix.

Families come in spring and then not for a year.

A card in the wallet reminds them of a second visit in autumn.

The shoulder season is empty even when the weather holds.

An offer with its own run time shifts visits into it.

Day visitors are anonymous to you.

Everyone who takes the card appears in your overview by name.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Design the card

Pick a card type, set your logo and colors, define the reward rule, for example "A point per visit, the 5th entry free.". The live preview shows instantly how the card looks in the wallet.

  2. Onboard customers

The customer scans the QR code at the counter and adds the card to their wallet with one tap. Done, no app for your guests.

  3. Collect & reward

One tap is all it takes: the balance updates automatically on the card, and when a reward is reached a wallet notification lands on the phone.

Example program

What your zoos & wildlife parks program could look like.

A point per visit, the 5th entry free.

A points card for the wallet for everyone without an annual pass. Plus a shoulder-season offer and a greeting when the season opens.

  • Self-stamping at a stand from Favourite Spot

Guests collect the stamp themselves at a QR or NFC stand when nobody at the counter has a second.

  • Guests refer guests All plans

Your regulars share a personal code. Once the new guest actually visits, both get a bonus. Switch it on when you want to.

  • Live view All plans

  • Milestone rewards All plans

A free croissant after five stamps, the coffee after ten: up to five rewards on one card keep guests motivated along the way.

A day with tapja

How it feels in everyday life.

A family visits on a Sunday in April. At the till the mother scans the QR code and the card is in the wallet seconds later, with no app of her own. Your team taps the point in the staff app. In October the new lynx enclosure opens, and you send the notice to everyone who came in spring, together with an autumn offer. The family comes a second time that year, exactly the visit that would otherwise not have happened. At the fifth point entry is free, redeemed right at the till.

Common questions about tapja for zoos & wildlife parks.

Question not listed?
Write to us, a person will answer.

Does this compete with our annual pass?
No, it closes the gap below it. Anyone visiting four times a year buys the annual pass anyway. The loyalty card picks up the families who come once or twice, until now anonymous day visitors to you.
One point per person or per family?
Usually one point per paid entry on the card of whoever pays. For a family of four that is four points at once, which keeps free entry reachable within one season.
We are a non-profit association. Does that fit?
Yes, nothing changes technically. What you give as a reward is up to you. It can just as well be a drink at the kiosk or a guided tour instead of free entry.
Do I need a POS system for this?
No. tapja runs independently on a phone or tablet you already own, or with no installation at all, right in the browser at the till. Nothing changes on your POS.
What data do my guests have to give?
A name and an email, nothing more. The birthday is voluntary. The email is confirmed once; that is the protection against someone inventing cards to collect rewards.
Do my customers need an app?
No. The card lives right in Apple or Google Wallet. Both are already on the phone. No download, no login for your customers.
How does the card get onto the phone?
Via the QR code on the counter stand: scan once, "Add to Wallet," done. The card is on the phone in seconds.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes, GDPR by design: data minimisation, servers in the EU and a separate marketing consent. From your guests you need a name and an email, nothing more.
