Do my guests need an app?
No. The card lives in Apple or Google Wallet, already installed on every phone. One tap, done.
Do I need technical know-how?
No. Set up in about 10 minutes: design the card, put up the QR, go. No IT knowledge needed.
Does it work with my POS?
Yes, independent of your POS system. No integration required. You stamp by phone or tablet. And if you already have a barcode scanner at the till: instead of a QR code the card can show Code 128, PDF417 or Aztec, so your existing scanner reads it directly.
Will my regulars actually use it?
It works best when your team mentions it briefly at the counter. Because the card sits in the wallet without an app, the hurdle is minimal. One tap is enough.
What if I don’t like it?
You start for free and stay cancellable monthly, with no minimum term. You can export your data anytime, and your guests’ cards stay intact.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Data minimization, EU hosting, clean consent. Privacy is built in, not bolted on.
What happens when I reach my card limit?

You can issue new cards as soon as you upgrade. To keep you from hitting the limit in the first place, your account gets in touch from around 80% of your cards onwards. Tapja is a German loyalty platform for local businesses. With Tapja you put digital stamp, points and membership cards straight into your guests’ Apple & Google Wallet, with no app and no paper. Tapja is operated by Sovion in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
Where does the name Tapja come from?
Tapja is a coined word, not an acronym: “tap” for tapping the card with NFC or a QR code, and “ja” — German for yes — for the confirmation. Tap and confirmed. It is pronounced “TAP-ya”.
